Rangers player trolls Celtic with hilarious quip after another dose of dramatic cup success

Uddingston's Alex Lowry has sent a cheeky 'opposition' message after Rangers' Glasgow Cup semi-final win over Celtic.

The Ibrox side's 'B' team drew with the Hoops equivalent 2-2 in normal time but prevailed 5-4 on penalty kicks.

In the aftermath of this latest win - coming 48 hours after Giovanni van Bronckhorst's senior side beating Celtic 2-1 in Scottish Cup last four action - the teenager hailed his 'opposition goal' on social media.

That is in reference to a tweet from the Parkhead side's Twitter account during the weekend's Hampden showpiece.

When both Rangers goals were scored as a painful loss was inflicted upon them, they referred to their rivals by saying 'goal to the opposition,' not by name.

Inevitably, the blue half of Glasgow latched onto this and poked fun as they booked a cup final slot with Hearts next month.

Lowry was an unused substitute at the national stadium before playing a starring role in their Glasgow Cup win, scoring a shootout penalty.

He and his teammates will face Queen's Park in the final.
