Rangers news bulletin as Zeb Jacobs heads for Holland while Sam Lammers cops scathing boss verdict

Rangers have confirmed youth guru Zeb Jacobs will leave Ibrox at the end of the season for Feyenoord - as Light Blues loanee Sam Lammers continues to tear it up in Holland.

It emerged last week that Jacobs was a target for the Rotterdam club and now Rangers have announced in a statement that Belgian is heading across the North Sea to the Eredivisie side. The Ibrox said: "Rangers FC can confirm Academy Director Zeb Jacobs will leave the club at the end of the season for Feyenoord. Zeb will leave Rangers with the best wishes of everyone at the club." Jacobs, who previously worked at Antwerp, arrived at Rangers in 2021 as Head of Academy Coaching before he was promoted two years later to the position of Academy Director.

Jacobs will join a Feyenoord side losing boss Arne Slot to Liverpool and, also in Holland, Rangers reject Lammers is determined to create his own ten-in-a-row record after breaking a 54-year-old club record while on loan at FC Utrecht. Lammers netted for the seventh game in a row in Utrecht's 2-2 draw with RKC Waalwijk to continue his remarkable scoring record since moving back to his homeland in January - he now has nine goals in 15 starts.

He became the first person to score in seven games in a row since the club were formed in 1970. But with Utrecht having three more games to go in the Eredivisie, Lammers is determined to continue scoring against Vitesse Arnhem, Sparta Rotterdam and AZ Alkmaar to make it ten-in-a-row. And he insists he hasn't thought about whether the loan move would be made permanent...unlike his manager Ron Jans.
