Rangers in Europa League final is "once in a lifetime" chance as midfielder details his best position

Midfielder Alex Lowry is gearing up for being involved with the Rangers squad for Wednesday's Europa League final in Seville and he believes it will be a once in a lifetime experience even this early in his career.

The Uddingston teen has risen to first team prominence this season following impressive displays with the Light Blues' B team in the Lowland League and now has seven senior appearances for Gio van Bronckhorst's side ahead of their historic meeting with German side Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday night.

Lowry has been a standout for the Gers in his last two outings and picked up man of the match awards in wins over Ross County and Hearts, which came off the back of signing a new contract as the club played out the end of the Premiership season.

While looking experienced beyond his years out there, it is unlikely he will get any minutes in Seville but he has been on the bench for most of Rangers' journey in Europe this season and soaked up some incredible experiences along the way.

It will be a real pinch yourself moment for Lowry when he takes in the Estadio Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán with the squad this week, with Rangers playing in their first final since 2008 when he was just four-years-old.

And speaking at Rangers' official media day ahead of the final, Lowry told fan blog 'Four Lads Had A Dream' how it feels to be part of the squad at such a huge moment in their history and explained where he sees his best position for the team.
