Rangers hit with another UEFA fine after 'blocking of public passageways' at Ibrox

Rangers have received another €8,000 fine from UEFA after problems at Ibrox during their Europa League quarter-final with Braga.

The Light Blues faced a €30,000 penalty for fans' conduct at the round of 16 away leg at Red Star Belgrade and have copped another, albeit smaller, punishment this time.

It relates to a 'blocking of public passageways' within Ibrox as they prevailed 3-1 winners to set up their semi-final tie with RB Leipzig.

In pounds, the amount Rangers will pay is around £6,804.

They were also slapped with a £4,168 fine after a fan invaded the pitch during the second leg of the tie against Borussia Dortmund.

Fans of the Ibrox club are currently scrambling to book up flights to Seville so they can watch their team one last time in Europe this season against Eintracht Frankfurt.

Victory in next Wednesday's Europa League final would bring a major European trophy back to Govan for the first time since 1972.

But large numbers of supporters face not seeing the match live with just 9,500 matchday tickets available at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium.
