Rangers, Hearts and Aberdeen lead transfer ramp up as SIX Premiership sides head to signing summit
A host of Premiership sides are heading to TransferRoom's signing summit amid the search for new arrivals and potential exits.
Half of Scottish football's top flight will be represented on Monday, August 1 as decision makers from some of the biggest clubs in the world to met virtually to discuss transfers. Rangers, Dundee United, Hearts, Aberdeen, Ross County and Motherwell will be able to discuss potential moves with clubs from across the globe at the event tagged 'Virtual Deal Day'.
TransferRoom is used by over 300 teams globally including Manchester City, AC Milan and Barcelona in the search for a signing edge. Events have returned to in–person affairs as restrictions ease but now leading sporting directors will get the chance to meet online – with the clock ticking down before the close of the summer window.
Rangers sporting director Ross Wilson is a vocal advocate of the platform and previously addressed other clubs as a keynote speaker at a previous event. Hearts signing guru Joe Savage has been lauded for his work in Gorgie and Aberdeen will be aiming to use the platform to build upon a promising window so far. Dundee United have long cast their net wide in the search for new recruits, something that also rings true with Motherwell and Ross County.
TransferRoom had previously been described as the speed dating football as it allows clubs to sit down for 15 scheduled 12-minute meetings to discuss players with interested parties.
CEO Jonas Ankersen has welcomed the recent return to in-person events but believes the chance to meet virtually is a benefit to all participating clubs. "Our next Virtual Deal Day is set to be the biggest and busiest yet. TransferRoom helped keep the market moving during the pandemic
