Rangers have set their price for Joe Aribo
Journalist Pete O’Rourke believes the current figures being quoted for Rangers midfielder Joe Aribo sound like ‘a decent price’.
The 25-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League in recent months after establishing himself as a pivotal player for the reigning Scottish champions.
Last month, the likes of Brentford and Watford were credited with an interest in Aribo, although a formal offer never materialised potentially due to his participating in the Africa Cup of Nations.
And now, according to The Sun, Crystal Palace have placed the 12-cap Nigeria international at the ‘top of their shopping list’ for when the transfer market re-opens in the summer.
It’s believed that Eagles boss Patrick Vieira has identified Aribo as an ideal replacement for star loanee Conor Gallagher.
Gallagher is expected to return to parent club Chelsea following the conclusion of 2021/22 after impressing throughout his short stay at Selhurst Park.
The report states that Rangers are set to demand £10 million for Aribo, who arrived at the Glasgow giants from Charlton Athletic in 2019 for just £300,000.

With just 18 months remaining on his current contract and no signs of an extension being signed, there is a danger that Aribo could depart Ibrox for free if a sale is not sanctioned in the next window.
In 127 appearances for Rangers, the 6 foot maestro has scored 23 goals and laid on a further 21 assists, claiming the Scottish Premiership title along the way.
And given the circumstances, O’Rourke has stated his belief that Aribo is worth the price tag being suggested for him.
He told GiveMeSport: “Yeah, it sounds like a decent price if you can get him for around £10 million.
