Rangers fans whoop it up over Champions League win but can’t resist aiming digs at Celtic – Hotline

Champions League football is back at Ibrox after a stunning win over PSV and Rangers fans flooded the Hotline with praise for their team.

A win over the Dutch in their own backyard ensured Gio van Bronckhorst and his players were lauded for their success. Joe Graham, Garrowhill, said: "Magnificent from Rangers to see off PSV in their home ground. They may have been the underdog but they proved they were the better team on the night to progress to the Champions League group stage. Well done, it has been 12 long years."

Chris Lowe, Yoker, said: "What a performance what a result great news for the club who have hit the jackpot they so deserve after carrying Scotland in Europe for the last few years What a difference it is to have officials who let the game flow and are not agenda driven or blinded by anti-Rangers bias like a good few of ours are."

Jimmy Neil, Glasgow, said: "I was absolutely delighted with that Rangers performance, so much so I don't care if Celtic do get a few million more from the group stage. Rangers have already amassed more than £5million from both qualifying rounds. I suspect that is roughly what Celtic fans lost in bets on Wednesday."
