Rangers fans react to Joe Worrall's journey from Rugby Park nightmare to Nottingham Forest’s Premier League joy

Joe Worrall turned the air blue during his post match interview after leading Nottingham Forest back to England’s top flight after a 23-year absence.

And it seems a few Rangers fans did the same watching in their living rooms after being left stunned by his transformation.

After the win over Huddersfield, Worrall told Sky Sports: “I’m not saying we’ve been good in the past seasons because we haven’t – we’ve been s***e.”

Worrall is no stranger to an expletive being caught on camera after incurring the wrath of Steven Gerrard during his loan spell at Rangers for been captured saying “f*** Celtic” on a cameraphone during a night out.

Worrall made 22 appearances for the Light Blues but the reaction on social media to the Forest’s captain Wembley win suggests his rise has surprised them.

One said: “My heart was in my mouth every time Joe Worrall got on the ball for Rangers.”

“Seen a lot of people say Joe Worrall has done well this season and improved massively since he left Rangers. And based on this 38 minutes of watching him it’s a lot of s***.”

Another added: “Just can’t get over Joe Worrall is going to been the Premier League next season. He was s*** at Rangers and will get tore
