Rangers fans in light hearted laugh at club season ticket renewal bid 'in recognition' of The Queen's Platinum Jubilee

Rangers have unveiled plans to extend their season ticket renewal options in line with The Queen 's Platinum Jubilee.

But the Ibrox fans have roasted the decision on social media following the announcement.

The deadline for current season ticket holders to extend their season ticket into a new Scottish Premiership campaign under Gio van Bronckhorst had originally been set for June 3.

However, the club state that due to the national celebrations taking place the deadline has been moved to June 6.

A club statement read: "In recognition of Her Majesty The Queen's Platinum Jubilee, the club has decided to further postpone the 2022/23 Season Ticket renewal deadline to Monday 6th June."

But the Ibrox faithful weren't having the statement from the club at all as they poked fun at their team.

A Rangers fan quickly saw the funny side stating: "That’s class, giving auld Lizzy an extra week to renew after her party."

A fan added on Twitter: "Honestly canny believe she’s no renewed already, just when you thought you knew who the die hards were."

One supporter quipped: "You could just say 'Its a bank holiday, so no one will be in the office to press the take money button'."

Another joked: "She should have the same amount of time to renew as everybody else."

A laughing punter chimed in: "I mean you could have just said it’s a bank holiday ,there was no need to embarrass us like this."
