Rangers clash with Leipzig hits the cinema as VUE Glasgow to screen Europa League showdown

Rangers' showdown with RB Leipzig is set to be shown on the big screen in Glasgow as VUE cinemas have jumped aboard the Europa League hype train.

Gio van Bronckhorst 's team will take part in a first European semi-final since 2008 with the first leg kicking off in Germany on Thursday, 28 April.

It's one of the biggest games in their recent history and having already eliminated Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund, optimism remains high they can do it again.

A victory in Leipzig would see them take a huge step towards the final in Seville - where they would take on Eintracht Frankfurt or West Ham.

A lucky 3,000 Rangers fans have got their hands on tickets to the Red Bull Arena while thousands more are expected to travel.

But those not making the trip have the chance to watch the game on the big screen.

BT Sport will be streaming the game as usual but fans wanting a close-up look can head to VUE Glasgow Fort.

The cinema have marked the occasion by screening the game in Germany, with tickets now on sale for the first leg on Thursday.

Aaron Ramsey is expected to miss the first leg in Germany but Van Bronckhorst is hopeful of having him back for the second leg at Ibrox a week later.
