Rangers and Motherwell pair called into Northern Ireland squad for double-header

Motherwell midfielder Liam Donnelly is back in the Northern Ireland squad after his recent run of matches at Fir Park.

The defensive battler joins Rangers veteran Steven Davis in former 'Well boss Ian Baraclough's engine room and there's space for Dundee's Niall McGinn and Aberdeen's Matty Kennedy too.

Donnelly returns to his international squad for the first time since September 2021.

Northern Ireland face Luxembourg away in a friendly on March 25th and return to Windsor Park for a friendly clash against Hungary on March 29th.

'Well's Northern Irishman has started the last five Premiership matches and featured for 90 minutes during Sunday's 2-1 Scottish Cup quarter-final loss to Hibs.
