Randy Orton will set new record at WWE WrestleMania 38

Randy Orton has chalked-up a number of milestones in his twenty-year WWE career, but at WrestleMania he’s set to achieve a new first.

Two weeks ago, Orton regained the Raw Tag Team Championships alongside RK-Bro partner Riddle when they defeated champions Alpha Academy and the team of Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins. They will now go on to defend those titles at WrestleMania when they take on The Street Profits.

In walking into WrestleMania as a tag team champion, Orton will set an incredible record, first highlighted on social media by Fact5 Wrestling. The Viper will become the first WWE Superstar to enter a WrestleMania as a tag team champion, a United States Champion, Intercontinental Champion, World Heavyweight Champion and WWE Champion.

Randy was Intercontinental Champion when he made his WrestleMania debut in 2004, although he didn’t defend his title at WrestleMania 20 and instead teamed with Evolution stablemates Ric Flair and Batista to defeat the returning Rock ‘n’ Sock Connection.

Four years later at WrestleMania 24, Orton would walk into the event as WWE Champion and was successful in his defence against both Triple H and John Cena. At WrestleMania 30 it was a different story, as lost his WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the famous main event that saw the culmination of Daniel Bryan’s rise to the top in WWE.

Finally, Randy was the reigning United States Champion going into the Fatal Four-Way bout against Jinder Mahal, Bobby Roode and Rusev at WrestleMania 34. Where ‘The Modern Day Maharaja’, Mahal would leave New Orleans with the title.
