Rams WR Puka Nacua (hip) inactive for MNF vs. Giants - ESPN

INGLEWOOD, Calif. — Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua will not be active for Monday night's game against the New York Giants.

Nacua was added to the Rams' injury report Friday because of a hip injury. On Saturday, McVay said Nacua was dealing with «a little bit of soreness» in his groin and would not practice that day.

McVay said the Rams were «being smart» with Nacua because he is a skill player. The head coach also said Nacua's injury wasn't related to the psoas injury that caused him to miss time during training camp.

McVay said that day that though Nacua practiced Thursday, he «didn't feel totally like himself [with] his ability to be able to kind of open up and really hit full speed.»

In the Rams' season opener, Nacua led the Rams with five catches for 74 yards on nine targets.

Rams wide receiver Jordan Whittington, who was added to the injury report Friday because of a quad injury, is also inactive.
