Ralf Rangnick needs to revert back to the first big decision he made as Manchester United manager
It's become a trend for Manchester United in recent years to completely ignore the solution to a problem even when it's staring them right in the face.
When Mauricio Pochettino was available and willing to become their new manager, they instead opted to give the job to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer permanently. When it was clear a defensive-midfielder needed adding to the side, millions were spent on new forwards. Even after it was correctly assessed that signing ageing, big-name stars off the back of their reputation or likelihood to generate retweets wasn't working, they went and did it again by signing Cristiano Ronaldo.
It's a sickness of United's own design in which they repeatedly manage to shoot themselves in the foot even though the target couldn't be closer. It's a sickness that seems to have infected Ralf Rangnick.

The interim manager worked out pretty early into his reign that Aaron Wan-Bissaka just wasn't good enough to play in his side. His attacking output is woeful and his clueless positioning constantly leaves United hopelessly exposed on his right side. The right-back may well be good at slide tackles, but he only needs to make them so often cause he's always running to catch up in the first place.
Wan-Bissaka missed Rangnick's first game in charge due to injury but Diogo Dalot impressed in his absence and made the spot his own. The Portuguese went on to play the full 90 minutes in nine of Rangnick's first 11 Premier League games and, though by no means perfect himself, showed how much of a mistake it was by Solskjaer not to give him a proper chance.
His deliveries might nearly be as bad as Wan-Bissaka's but he is much more comfortable
