Ralf Rangnick responds to Paul Pogba comments

Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick has given Paul Pogba short shrift after he complained about his failure to have a defined role at club level. His revelation came during the international break, Pogba questioned 'at United, do I really have a role? I ask the question and I don't have the answer'.

It's been a rollercoaster season for most of the players, the Frenchman included. He was dropped in United's last game, as they were knocked out by Atletico Madrid and missed three months of the season with a thigh injury - which he picked up with Didier Deschamps' side.

The 29-year-old is out of contract at United on June 30 and is widely expected to leave the club after six years with the club. Ajax manager Erik ten Hag remained coy on the subject of potentially becoming Manchester United's next permanent manager, admitting that he doesn't want to "rule anything out" concerning his future.
