Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic set to play in pre-Wimbledon event

Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic are set to play in the same exhibition event next week, as they prepare to go head-to-head at Wimbledon.

Organisers of the Giorgio Armani Tennis Classic have confirmed that Djokovic and Nadal will play in the tournament staged at the The Hurlingham Club from 21 – 26 June.

This will be the first time the Spaniard will hit the court following his French Open win and marks the Serbian star’s first time playing at The Hurlingham Club in the classic.

Nadal and Djokovic have opted against playing in some of the pre-Wimbledon grass court events, with their appearance in this event certain to a more relaxed affair than a competitive tournament.

It is not clear whether the two icons will meet eachother at the Hurlingham Club, but that prospect looks unlikely.

The new additions will be joining the tournament’s strong line-up, which includes Carlos Alcaraz, Casper Ruud, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Lleyton Hewitt, Xavier Malisse, Mansour Bahrami, Greg Rusedski, Radek Stepanek, Tommy Haas, Marcos Baghdatis, Laura Robson and Daniela Hantuchová.
