Racing at Wexford cancelled due to heavy rain
Racing at Wexford on Wednesday has been cancelled following a course inspection this morning.
With a further 16mm of rain since yesterday when the track was already found unfit for racing, the decision has been made to call off the meeting.
Paul Moloney, IHRB Clerk of the Course at Wexford said: "In the space of just four hours yesterday morning we had 15mm of rain which left us waterlogged and since then we've had a further 16mm on top of that."
It is the second time the fixture has been cancelled following the initial St Patrick's Day event was also rained off.
