QPR vs Sheffield United confirmed teams as Blades suffer huge Billy Sharp blow

Sheffield United are in action at QPR this evening knowing three points would pile the pressure on the chasing pack in the race for the play-offs. With United kicking off this weekend's fixtures a day before the rest, victory would leave them all in must-win scenarios tomorrow.

Failure to return with a win, however, would hand Middlesbrough, Blackburn and Millwall a big incentive. It's a hugely important fixture with only two games remaining in the season.

United will start the day in sixth, just two points clear of seventh, but arrive looking to increase that gap to a healthy five points. Victory last time out at home to Cardiff meant destiny is in their own hands and Paul Heckingbottom will be hoping that is still the case at full-time.

Having been in the promotion picture for much of the season, the hosts have dropped to 10th and are effectively out of the play-off race, needing a remarkable set of results to go their way and a major swing in goal difference. It will also be Mark Warburton's final home game in charge after it was announced yesterday he will be leaving the club at the end of the season.
