Pupil airlifted from Olchfa school in Swansea following medical emergency
A secondary school pupil has reportedly been airlifted to hospital after suffering a medical emergency at school in Swansea.
The Wales Ambulance Service has confirmed it attended the scene to assist air ambulance medics and said one person was taken to hospital in Cardiff via helicopter. WalesOnline understands this person was a pupil at Olchfa School in Sketty.
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called today (24 May) shortly after 1pm to reports of an incident on Gower Road, Swansea. We sent one emergency ambulance, a Cymru high acuity response unit paramedic and a duty operational manager to the scene, where we were supported by the Wales Air Ambulance. One person was taken by air to University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff for further treatment."
