Pundits in agreement on Sheffield Wednesday's League One play-off semi final against Sunderland

Pundit Clinton Morrison has claimed Sheffield Wednesday's mouth-watering League One play-off semi-final against Sunderland is "too hard to call". The Owls booked their place in the end of season extravaganza with a stylish 4-1 win over Portsmouth.

Victory guaranteed fourth place and gives them home advantage for the second leg versus the Black Cats. Wednesday will travel to Wearside for the first leg of the tie on Friday.

Speaking on Quest's EFL highlights show, former Owls and Crystal Palace striker Morrison said: "It is a big game. Sheffield Wednesday got over 33,000 (against Portsmouth). That will be a sell-out at Sheffield Wednesday. Huge football club.

Sheffield Wednesday to face Sunderland in League One play-offs after Portsmouth win

"Sunderland at the Stadium of Light will be a sell-out. Two huge football clubs and it is going to be one hell of an occasion. Some talented individuals.

"That is too hard to call. I couldn't call who is going to win."

Sunderland triumphed 5-0 in the last meeting between the two fallen giants back in December. But the Owls produced a top performance to cruise to a three nil win in the reverse fixture.

Ali Maxwell, part of the Not The Top 20 podcast, said: "It sounds like we can expect two pretty entertaining games between these two. The atmospheres are going to be incredible.

"Clear your diaries for next week because this is an absolute treat. What a league League One has been this season. We have been treated at the top of it and we get some extra games. I cannot wait for next week."
