Pundit tips Pogba to shine in Champions League away from Man Utd

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has been tipped to shine in the Champions League once he leaves Old Trafford this summer.

The French midfielder is out-of-contract in the summer and looks set to depart after another disappointing season.

After limping off in the 4-0 defeat at Liverpool earlier this week, United boss Ralf Rangnick admitted Pogba may never play for the club again.

Pogba tweeted out in the middle of United’s 3-2 defeat at Arsenal that he hoped he would return this season, much to the humour of Jamie Carragher.

‘Absolutely gutted to not be able to help the team in today’s game,’ he tweeted. ‘I will work even harder to come back stronger and hopefully before the end of the season. It’s not over Thank you all for your support, United we would stand!’

United will have a new manager next season with Erik Ten Hag set to take over in the summer and the Dutchman could still decide to keep Pogba around. That seems unlikely at present.

Now, former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino has claimed Pogba will shine in a different team, even tipping him to do so in the Champions League, a competition United are very unlikely to be in.

Speaking to talkSPORT, Cascarino said: “Paul Pogba will end up joining one of the biggest clubs in the world.

“Man United are obviously already
