Punchestown Festival LIVE plus horse racing results from Ascot, Musselburgh, Wolverhampton and Pontefract

We bring you day two of the Punchestown Festival featuring the Grade 1 Punchestown Gold Cup (5.55).

It promises to be a cracker of a race which pits all-conquering Cheltenham Festival winner Allaho against former Gold Cup winners Minella Indo and Al Boum Photo; Aintree winner Clan Des Obeaux and Galvin from the yard of Gordon Elliott – who had a stunning four timer on the first day.

We’ll also cover the Champion Bumper (6.30) which sees Festival 1-2 Facile Vega and American Mike do battle again, as well as the Irish Mirror Novice Hurdle (Grade 1) for young three milers, headed by Albert Bartlett winner The Nice Guy.

There is also the Group 3 Sagaro Stakes (3.35) at Ascot where Aidan O’Brien’s Wordsworth – second in the Queens’ Vase here last June – takes on Anthony Mullins’ globe-trotting grey Princess Zoe who was second in last year’s Ascot Gold Cup.
