Pub hits back as customers slam 'madness' £25 Full English breakfast
A well-regarded pub has angrily responded to disgruntled customers criticising its £25 Full English breakfast.
The Cow Shed saw online backlash over its £25 all-you-can-eat Full English breakfast. The pub's breakfast deal includes as many helpings of traditional Full English items as customers want, accompanied by an array of fresh pastries, cereals, hot drinks, and juices.
But criticism mounted on social media last week with one user exclaiming: "Good grief! That's madness! " while another said: "No breakfast is worth £25, even if it is unlimited. This is Faversham, not Mayfair."
Some have humorously suggested setting up a fundraising page to experience the breakfast themselves, with comments like: "Considering setting up a GoFundMe page in order that I can try this lavish breakfast at some point", reports the Express.
In response, The Cow Shed issued a lengthy 800-word statement to justify its pricing, saying: "Yes, it's definitely aimed for those who want to indulge, who are comfortable in spending the extra cash to immerse themselves in our quality 'ALL YOU CAN EAT' breakfast.
"It boasts The Cow Shed grill up (£13.50 normally - full English), with our own recipe sausages, fresh pastries, cereals, hot drinks and juices."
The family-owned pub also highlighted its commitment to high standards, explaining that their menu is crafted from a family passion for food and crafting "mouthwatering memorable moments."
The pub, in Ospringe, near Faversham, in Kent, explained: "One of the main reasons we made the decision as a family to start The Cow Shed was because our celebrations and commiserations tend to be based around food.
"When venturing out, rather than hosting at home, we often felt there was some sort of compromise.
