PSG: Alarming image highlights big Messi, Neymar, Mbappe issue

PSG had another night to forget in the Champions League this week as they crashed out at the hands of Real Madrid.

It all seemed to be going according to plan for the Parisian giants when Kylian Mbappe double their lead int he tie with a rasping first-half finish.

However, what followed in the second-half will haunt those players for a very long time to come.

Unfortunately, PSG have developed a bit of a reputation for buckling at the first sign of pressure in Europe and they lived up to that name yet again in Madrid.

Had it been anyone else, the capitulation at the Bernabeu would’ve been massively alarming but, as it was PSG, it almost felt inevitable.

Karim Benzema’s superb smash and grab hat-trick took just a matter of minutes and flipped the tie completely on its head.

From that point on it was men against boys as PSG’s ‘rabbit in the headlights’ past reared its ugly head yet again.

Madrid cruised to victory and, in truth, could’ve helped themselves to two or three more goals thanks to some simply disastrous defending in the chaotic PSG backline.

However, while most fans are picketing and rioting and calling for the heads of the likes of Pascal Kimpembe and Marquinhos, a fascinating image has been quietly doing the rounds in the halls of Reddit.

In the image, the gaping hole in PSG’s ‘formation’ is laid bare with the midfield and defensive lines holding steady, while the much-vaunted front three are miles away from play in the distance.

Lionel Messi, Neymar and Mbappe were expected to swat aside all-comers when they finally got to team up but this image below could prove that they are the problem for PSG.
