Printworks brings the seaside to Manchester with free 'Summer of Fun' event

Looking for a great family day out on a budget this summer? You’re in luck as Printworks has launched its exciting Summer of Fun event - and it's completely free.

Running daily throughout August, with extra special activities every Thursday, enjoy a taste of the seaside right in the heart of Manchester, with free games, live music, and interactive beach-themed fun.

Printworks’ impressive 1,000m² digital ceiling showcases dynamic beach-themed content, including animated visuals, quizzes, and a live leaderboard, creating an immersive summer vibe for all visitors.

Throughout its Summer of Fun, Printworks is running a daily interactive crowd gaming experience - a sure highlight.

Here, up to 100 players can simultaneously take part in high-energy digital games using just their smartphones. All you have to do to play is scan the on-screen QR code - no app required.

Developed by Manchester-based gaming specialists Piing, the games aim to transform the Pumpyard into a vibrant digital playground for all ages.

Alongside the gaming experience, there's a giant sandpit on-site, guaranteed to delight the kids while parents pull up a seat and relax under Europe's largest digital ceiling.

But that’s not all. Every Thursday, from 10am to 4pm, the Pumpyard is offering an exciting line-up of free, hands-on experiences for families.

From giant games and creative challenges for kids, to live DJs and possibly the world’s largest Pac-Man, each Thursday promises a different reason to visit.
