Prince William spotted 'swearing' on camera during Wimbledon

Prince William was captured on camera apparently swearing during a Wimbledon match. The Duke of Cambridge was spotted during the Cameron Norrie quarter-final.

The future king, 40, is a major sports fan and appeared to get caught up in the moment as he watched the event on Tuesday (July 5). He was seen apparently mouthing: "No, no, no f***."

He shook his head from side to side before seemingly uttering the expletive as he straightened his tie. Twitter users were gobsmacked after the clip was shared online.

One person said: "Can't be unseen! So glad he's human." Another said: "Good to see some feelings."

Some pointed out that he may well have been saying "for goodness sake" as the camera cuts away quite rapidly - though most were not convinced.

South Africa-born Norrie dug deep to come from behind and eventually beat his opponent and set up a semi-final meeting with World No3 Novak Djokovic. The defending champion, 35, from Serbia, beat Italian Jannik Sinner earlier in the day. William was much more relaxed during that match, joined by wife Kate in the Centre Court royal box.

Both Kate and William put on sunglasses as play started between defending champion Novak Djokovic and Italian Jannik Sinner. The royals appeared to be thoroughly enjoying the match, especially when Kate smiled to William after a tense rally won by the Italian player, which sparked tense “oohs” and “aahs” from the crowd before a huge wave of applause.

It is the first time this year that Kate, a patron of the club, has attended Wimbledon with her brother James spotted there on Monday. William and Kate's visit to Wimbledon comes as crowds of spectators were expected to flock to the tournament
