Pride of Manchester judge Jsky sent fellow guests including Mel B wild with his River Island dress

Fashionista Jsky is known for his stunning wardrobe of flamboyant outfits and on Tuesday night he sent fellow guests wild at the Manchester Evening News Pride of Manchester Awards in a shimmering maxi dress. The BBC Radio Manchester presenter, who was judging the awards for the second year, was complimented on his dazzling outfit from high street store River Island by famous faces including Spice Girl Mel B who thought he was wearing Dolce & Gabbana.

The black dress embellished with silver jewels also had Hollyoaks favourite Jennifer Metcalfe, who plays village glamazon Mercedes McQueen in the soap, asking where it was from. And it made a lasting impression on The Chase quizzer Anne Hergerty who after the awards complimented his "gorgeous dress" on Twitter.

Jsky, who was making his red carpet debut at Pride of Manchester after last year's lockdown, told us: "Mel B asked me if my dress was by Dolce & Gabbana. I think my outfit was a hit last night. It definitely caused a stir on the red carpet."

Jsky was also thrilled to meet broadcasting legend Moira Stuart at the event. "I also got to meet a personal hero to myself and my family, Moira Stuart," he said. "It's thanks to people like her that I am getting to do what I do."

He said about the awards to celebrate the city's unsung heroes: "This is probably one of the best things I've ever been asked to be a part of because it celebrates the real heroes in our city.

He added: "It was great to meet legends like Mel B and Moira Stuart who I've looked up to growing up but the night truly belongs to the award winners and the people in their community. Manchester really shone brightly last night."
