Make no mistake, there is a title race in Scotland and Wednesday's Old Firm derby has the feel of a game that could carry more significance than the three points up for grabs.

For Celtic, it's three points that can catapult them to the summit of the Scottish Premiership at what is often regarded as a crucial point in the season.

A Rangers win would undoubtedly give them breathing space but a five-point lead would be far from an insurmountable cushion, especially as these sides meet again on the penultimate weekend of the season.

It's a huge game but the layers make Celtic clear favourites. The Hoops are 11/10 with Grosvenor Sport to make home advantage count, while Rangers are 12/5 outsiders despite having drawn one and won two of their last three trips to Celtic Park.

Rangers title hopes took a knock when they conceded a last-gasp equaliser to Ross County last weekend but the signing of Aaron Ramsey from Juventus looks a real game-changer for the Ibrox side.

It's hard to know whether Ramsey is fit enough to play any meaningful part in Wednesday's crucial decider but he, along with fellow loan signing Amad from Manchester United, look certain to have a major impact on Rangers between now and the end of the season.
