Predicted Rangers XI as Morelos or Colak not the only major judgement call against St Mirren

Rangers will have James Sands (suspension) available. Kemar Roofe is back in training, but Tom Lawrence, John Souttar, Filip Helander and Ianis Hagi are all out injured.

Gio van Bronckhorst teased a potential combo of Alfredo Morelos and Antonio Colak but it remains probable that only one of the forwards spearheads the frontline. It's likely 37-year-old Steven Davis drops to the bench after his significant efforts at Anfield. Van Bronckhorst will have fill focus on the encounter with the Buddies despite the looming return against Liverpool.

Both Rabbi Matondo and Fashion Sakala are itching for game time and either could come in for Malik Tillman after the Bayern Munich loanee's underwhelming display on Merseyside. Meanwhile, Jonah Ayunga (suspended) will miss St Mirren's trip to Ibrox. Eamonn Brophy and Toyosi Olusanya (broken toe) are still sidelined while fellow forwards Curtis Main and Alex Greive are doubts as is wideman Ryan Strain.

The high-flying Saints would close into one point of the hosts if they secure a famous win at Ibrox on Saturday afternoon. Leaders Celtic travel to St Johnstone in the early fixture with Rangers keeping a close eye on the result and any potential chance to finish the weekend top of the pile.

Colak is likely to get the nod up top but expect a heavy dose of Alfredo Morelos with the manager keen to keep both ticking over ahead of Wednesday's blockbuster with Rangers.
