Power Supply for Samota Motocross Grand Prix 83% Ready: PLN
TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State power company PLN is ready to supply electricity to support the Indonesian international Motocross Grand Prix (MXGP) in Samota, Sumbawa Regency, West Nusa Tenggara, which will be held on June 24 to 26. Official says that PLN's readiness is at 83.3 percent progress.
"PLN's readiness to supply electricity to the grand event has reached 83.3 percent, both in terms of network and power plant reserves. Several works are being carried out in stages to complete PLN's readiness, namely supply and network support in the venue," PLN's manager for West Nusa Tenggara Area, Sudjarwo, said in Mataram, Sunday 12 June.
The estimated total time required to complete the entire work is approximately 2-3 weeks.
Based on a PLN survey held in January, the event's implementation would require 1.38 mega Volt Ampere (MVA) of power.
"Right now, the network installation has been completed. PLN's commitment is to supply power for all events—both national and international—held in West Nusa Tenggara. We will prepare the infrastructure; the power generators, the transmission, and distribution," he said.
Sudjarwo said the company has made a work plan that takes into account all aspects and risks, so that electricity to Samota can be supplied according to the time and volume required by the organizers.
PLN has also signed a memorandum of understanding with PT Samota Enduro Gemilang, a company engaged in tourism and events, related to electricity services required for the Motocross Grand Prix.
