Poroshenko handed over equipment and drones to 19 units of the Defence Forces
Petro Poroshenko, Member of the Ukrainian Parliament and leader of “European Solidarity”, has handed over a batch of drones and equipment to 19 units of the Defence Forces serving along the entire front line from Sumy to Kherson regions, according to the political party’s website.
"Four years ago, volunteers gathered at this site. People who, on the first day of the full-scale Russian invasion, took up arms without hesitation. It was here, in our transparent office, that the 206th Territorial Defence Battalion was formed, from which not only unit commanders but also the commander of an entire branch of the armed forces have emerged,” the fifth President recalled the events of winter 2022.
“When Russian troops withdrew from the capital and the battalion was sent to other fronts, this car park turned into a logistics hub where we collected, assembled and handed over equipment. Despite the illegal and unconstitutional sanctions aimed at blocking our work, we did not stop,” Poroshenko noted.
This time, the military received 150 FPV drones, including fibre-optic models, 50 ‘Blyskavka’ systems, quad bikes, 57 Starlink kits, “Aspirin” drone detectors, gers, charging stations, 176 tyres for pick-up trucks, electronics, as well as 10 washing and shower units.
“Today we are handing over 10 washing and shower units, which means that 329 of our units are now in service with the military. In total, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have around a thousand mobile bathhouses. If we do some simple maths, it turns out that every third unit has been supplied to the army by the NGO ‘Sprava Hromad’ and the Poroshenko Foundation, which is funded exclusively from our own funds, Marina’s and mine. Not a bad result,” notes the fifth
