Popular WWE stars denies retirement rumours & confirms desire to return

Titus O’Neil, one of the most beloved members of the WWE roster, has denied the rumours that he’s retired from wrestling.

Titus O’Neil signed with WWE in 2009 as a wrestler, but since joining the company 13 years ago, his role has massively changed.

The 45-year-old, who had a close relationship with ex-WWE CEO Vince McMahon, hasn’t wrestled a match since the November 9 episode of 2020, but has remained with the company in a behind-the-scenes capacity.

Titus is currently working as a Global Ambassador for WWE, earning an induction into the Hall of Fame last year for his work in the role.

Despite his work, which has earned him a lot of goodwill amongst wrestling pundits and fans, Titus has confirmed that he has not yet retired.

Fightful Select has explained that Titus told them during a recent interview that he hasn’t hung up his boots just yet.

Not just that, but Titus told the site that he plans on returning to the ring, and will speak to WWE about it when he feels that the time is right.

Titus has not retired, and fully plans to return to the ring one day. He hasn’t put a time table on a return, but he said that he will discuss it with WWE when he feels the time is right, but it “will happen.”

Titus was actually involved on last week’s episode of WWE Raw, his first appearance in just shy of two years.

The former WWE Tag Team Champion opened the show, speaking about how WWE was a “safe haven” away from politics, religion and divisive content.

The segment was divisive amongst fans, with many feeling that it was wrong for WWE to send Titus out there.
