Popular Mexican restaurant giving out free lunches TODAY at new Manchester venue

A popular Mexican brand will be opening their third venue in the city centre this weekend - but, before that, they’re celebrating the occasion with free lunches today.

Tortilla will be opening its new store within the Arndale Centre on Saturday (June 1) featuring their beloved selection of burritos, tacos, bowls, and salads. With space for 50 people to dine in, alongside takeaway service, it’s set to be just as popular as its venues on Oxford Road and at Piccadilly Train Station.

On Friday (May 31), Tortilla will be opening the doors to its Arndale restaurant a day early to hand out hundreds of free lunches as part of a welcome party to the shopping centre.

The deal will run from 12pm to 1.30pm and customers will be able to choose either a medium burrito, a naked burrito bowl or a salad for free. As usual, the offer will be available whilst stocks last and on a first-come, first-served basis. And there’s expected to be a big turn out.

Tortilla serves around seven million burritos each year, with every dish made-to-order with the aim of being served in less than 90 seconds. As a fun fact, there are apparently more than four million different burrito filling combinations available.

Speaking about the opening of the new store, Tortilla’s Operations Director, Stephen Clarke, said: “We're thrilled to be opening our third Tortilla restaurant in Manchester at the bustling Arndale Centre.

“Manchester has embraced Tortilla's fresh, made-to-order California-style burritos and tacos, and this new location will make it even more convenient for our fans to get their burrito fix.”
