Police tape off Cardiff Cathedral and nearby businesses
Police have cordoned off Cardiff Cathedral and several nearby buildings in the city centre. A nearby worker said the tape was in place from around 1.30pm on Saturday.
The Charles Street cordon covers the pavement running past the Metropolitan Cathedral Church of St David, the Clergy House building, Gents of Brooklyn barbershop, and Headquarters hair transplant clinic. Three police vans were on the scene in the late afternoon.
Charles Street itself is not shut apart from a section of pavement on one side. One nearby worker said a police helicopter was overhead earlier in the day. We will bring you an update from police as soon as we have it.
