Police seize 'American muscle car' after spotting it 'cruising the streets of Manchester'

An American sports car turned heads as it cruised through Manchester – but its journey was soon cut short by police.

The Chevrolet Corvette came to the attention of GMP officers in the city centre on the evening of Saturday (January 18).

Upon stopping the vehicle, it was discovered the driver did not have the correct licence for the car.

The Corvette was seized by officers and the driver was reported for driving without a proper licence.

GMP Traffic shared the incident on social media, saying: “Yippee Ki Yay Partners, this American Muscle car was cruising round Manchester when it came GMP Traffic’s attention.

“Pity the driver didn't have a licence covering his use of the mean machine on public roads. Driver reported for No licence and his Corvette seized.”
