Police scene in place after man stabbed in 'senseless attack'

A police scene is in place in Cheetham Hill after a man was stabbed in a 'senseless attack'.

The stabbing happened on Beckhenham Road last night (Wednesday, October 23). Emergency services descended on the street at around 9pm.

Police said a 26-year-old man was rushed to hospital from the scene with 'serious, life-changing injuries'. He remains there for treatment.

No arrests have been made. An investigation is now underway, with any witnesses urged to come forward.

A cordon remains in place on the street as investigations are carried out today. Patrols have also been stepped up in the area.
