Police release images of two women they want to speak to entering a shop in Manchester

Police want to speak to these two women after items were reportedly stolen from a clothes shop in north Manchester.

The shoplifting incident happened at a shop on Cheetham Hill Road at around 3.30pm on January 31, police said. Detectives want to identify two people who are believed to have stolen items from inside.

Today (February 21), police have released CCTV footage of two women they now want to speak to about the incident. The women 'may have information that could help with enquiries', officers said.

Anyone who recognises them is being urged to get in touch. In the footage, which was shared on the GMP Manchester North Facebook page today, both women can be seen entering a shop through the automatic doors.

One appears to be holding the hands of two children. Alongside the CCTV clip, an officer wrote: "#APPEAL | Officers appeal for information following a shoplifting incident at a store on Cheetham Hill Road. Detectives are appealing for information to help identify two people suspected of shoplifting items from a clothing store on Cheetham Hill Road, Manchester on 31 January 2023 at around 3:30pm.

"The investigation team have now released CCTV of two women they would like to speak to as they believe they may have information that could help with enquiries.
