Police pull over 'suspicious' VW Golf - and find a haul inside
Drugs and a knife were among a haul recovered by police after stopping a 'suspicious' car being driven through Bolton. Greater Manchester Police says its officers clocked the silver Volkswagen Golf in Tonge Fold yesterday (August 13).
Officers had concerns about the car and pulled it over. After stopping, the person behind the wheel was found to be already disqualified from driving.
But the incident took another twist when police searched the Golf and discovered 'a quantity of drugs'. An image shared by GMP Traffic online shows several small snap bags were seized by officers, alongside two larger bags.

A knife was also seized by officers, along with a number of mobile phones. GMP says it arrested all occupants inside the Golf.
They were taken to custody for questioning yesterday. A spokesperson for GMP Traffic tweeted last night: "Earlier today RPU patrols in the Tonge Fold area of Bolton sighted a suspicious vehicle which when stopped the driver was found to be disqualified.
"Following a search of the vehicle a quantity of drugs, mobiles and knife were located. All occupants arrested and await interview."
