Police issue warning after spike in Range Rover thefts in Hale

Police have issued a warning to residents in a village in Trafford after a spike in Range Rover thefts.

Officers said there has been a recent spate of thefts of the luxury keyless cars in Hale. Vehicle owners have been urged to stay 'extra vigilant'.

Police said owners should consider using a steering wheel lock to protect their cars. In an post on the social media this morning (April 19), a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "There has been a recent spike in keyless Range Rover thefts in the Hale village area.

"If you think you may be susceptible to this, consider securing your vehicle by alternative means such as a steering wheel lock. Free crime prevention advice is available on the GMP website.

"Please do not hesitate to report anything suspicious to the police. Use 999 in an emergency or 101/online for report for non-emergency reports."
