Police issue appeal as concern grows for missing 16-year-old girl

Concern is growing for a missing 16-year-old girl from Wigan.

Police have issued an appeal for help to find Katie Carden. The teenager is known in Atherton and in the surrounding areas, officers said.

Police are 'becoming increasingly concerned' about her. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is being urged to get in touch.

A picture of Katie was shared on social media today (September 14) as part of an appeal to find her. Alongside the photo, an officer wrote: "MISSING PERSON Katie Carden is a 16 year old female.

"She is known to frequent Atherton and surrounding areas. Officers are becoming increasingly concerned about Katie and want to make sure she is safe and well.

"Anyone with information about Katie’s whereabouts should contact police on 101 quoting the missing reference number of MSP/06LL/0002384/23."
