Police hunting Moss Side murder suspect appeal for CCTV and doorbell footage

Police investigating a fatal stabbing in Moss Side have now called for CCTV and doorbell footage as the murder probe continues.

Three males, wearing dark clothing and riding bikes are of particular interest to detectives, after 17-year-old Prince Walker-Ayeni was knifed in a horror attack on Raby Street on Thursday (April 4).

The teenager, who was just days away from his 18th birthday, died shortly after being rushed to hospital from the scene. A large cordon has remained in place amid major investigations into the 'murder'.

Greater Manchester Police have now revealed that Prince was days away from turning 18-years-old. They called the attack 'senseless', as a manhunt for those responsible continues.

Following Prince's death, a large banner with his name written on it was tied to a fence next to the scene, at Millenium Park, along with balloons with 'RIP Prince' handwritten onto them.

His sister, Kacee, described how she and Prince loved to make 'jokes out of each other'. "I miss you and I love you loads, I am so heartbroken", she said in a tribute shared with the Manchester Evening News.

Detective Chief Inspector Neil Higginson of GMP’s Major Incident Team, said: “Prince was a few days away from being 18 years old, and he should have been celebrating his birthday with his family and friends. This is a tragic and senseless loss of life of a boy that was on the cusp of adulthood, and our thoughts remain with his family and friends.

“Whilst no arrests have been made at this time, there will be a large police presence over the coming days for community reassurance and to carry out enquiries as we work tirelessly to apprehend those
