Police hunting down wanted man

Police are hunting down a man who is wanted in connection with multiple theft offences.

Peter Stringer is being traced down by officers. The 37-year-old is from the Tameside area, police said.

Anyone who knows where he is, or who spots him, is being asked to contact Greater Manchester Police. Officers posted a photo of Stringer on the GMP Tameside South & West Facebook page.

Alongside the picture, they wrote: "Police are appealing for the publics help to trace a wanted male from Tameside who is WANTED for numerous accounts of theft. Wanted Male -Peter STRINGER - 27/06/1985.

"Anyone with any information about STRINGERS whereabouts should contact GMP immediately on 0161 856 5889 or 101 or details can be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
