Police cordon off alleyway in 'serious incident'
Police were at the scene of a "serious incident" in Swansea on Thursday night. An alleyway was taped off by police at High Street in Clydach with officers standing on duty.
There was a heavy police presence on hand with two cars, a van, and a crime scene investigation unit parked outside. Drivers had been told to avoid the area and use alternative routes where possible but the road later re-opened and police left the scene at around 8.10pm. A statement from South Wales Police read: "We are at the scene of a serious incident on High Street, Clydach, Swansea. The road is currently closed in both directions from St John road on High Street. Vehicles can turn left up Twynybedw Road and then down Sybil Street. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes where possible. Delays are expected in the area."
