Police chase burglary suspect and discover four stolen, high-performance cars worth up to £300k
Police have recovered four stolen cars worth up to 300k after chasing a burglary suspect. The keys to a Mercedes were stolen during a burglary at an address in Stockport on September 24, and it was driven away, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said.
Officers from GMP's Tactical Vehicle Intercept Unit (TVIU) later spotted the car, worth between £376,000 and £395,000 in Salford in Salford and after a pursuit arrested a 22-year-old man on suspicion of burglary.
During a search of a property 'associated with the suspect' three other stolen, high-performance cars were discovered.

These included a BMW 7 Series worth in the region of £102,000, a VW Golf worth £35,000, a Volvo XC90 valued at £60,000.
A 38-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy were arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods. All three have since been bailed pending further enquiries
The motors are currently locked up in garages and 'work is currently underway to reunite the recovered cars with the owners' the force said.
