Police are warning the public to not approach this teenager

Police have issued an urgent 'do not approach' warning over a wanted teenager from Lancashire.

Dylan Scanlon is wanted by officers in connection with an alleged affray offence, Lancs Live reports. The 18-year-old, from Preston, should 'not be approached', police said.

Anyone who spots him is instead being urged to call 999. Scanlon is described as being 6ft tall with brown hair.

He was last seen wearing a black bubble coat in the Kent Street area of Preston at 9pm on Tuesday (February 13). Lancashire Police said they have 'made numerous enquiries to find him' and they are now asking for the public's help to track him down.

Officers said he 'may have an injury to his left hand and should not be approached'. In a statement on Facebook, a spokesperson for Preston Police said: "Have you seen 18-year-old Dylan Scanlon from Preston who we want to speak to in connection with an affray?

"Dylan, who is 6ft and has brown hair, was last seen wearing a black bubble coat in the Kent Street area of the city at 9pm on Tuesday. We have made numerous enquiries to find Dylan, who has also been reported as missing, and we are now asking for your assistance.

"Dylan may have an injury to his left hand and should not be approached."
