Police appeal over man wanted in connection with thefts

Police are appealing for the public's help to trace a man wanted for questioning in connection with a number of theft offences.

Leon Barratt is 31 with links to Levenshulme, Gorton and Stockport.

Police said they want to speak to him 'in connection to a number of thefts from retail premises in the Levenshulme area'.

Greater Manchester Police's Facebook pages are sharing details of the appeal and an image of Barratt.

In a Facebook appeal, GMP Manchester East said: "Can you help GMP trace a wanted man from the Levenshulme/Gorton area?

"Officers are appealing for help to trace Leon Barratt (02/02/92) who is wanted in connection to a number of thefts from retail premises in the Levenshulme area.

"Leon is known to have links to the Levenshulme, Gorton and Stockport areas.

"Anybody with information on Leon's whereabouts should call 0161 856 4863 or 101, quoting log 1223 of 09/09/23.

"Alternatively, if you wish to provide information anonymously, this can be done via independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111." No further details have been revealed.
