Police appeal for wanted Manchester man who might have travelled to Liverpool

Police are appealing for the public’s help in tracking down a man who is wanted on recall to prison following his release.

Greater Manchester Police have today (July 28) issued an appeal to help trace the whereabouts of Christopher Howe, 35.

He is known to have links to Stockport, Bolton and Manchester and GMP said it understands Howe frequently uses the rail network to also travel to Preston and Leeds.

Officers said that intelligence suggests he had plans to travel to the Liverpool area. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.

Howe, of no fixed abode, was convicted of unlawful wounding in 2021 in relation to an incident at Reddish Vale Country Park in May 2020 where he assaulted a man before running away from police. He was sentenced to 18 months in jail.

In a statement, Greater Manchester Police said: “GMP are appealing for the public’s help to find Christopher Howe (01/12/1987) who is wanted on recall to prison.

“He has links to the Stockport, Bolton and Manchester areas of Greater Manchester and use the rail network frequently to travel to Preston and Leeds.

“There is intelligence to suggest that Christopher had plans to travel to Liverpool.
