Police appeal after 'woman attacked by men in car park then driven away in Mercedes'

A police investigation was underway today into reports a woman was attacked by men in a car park then driven away from the scene in the early hours. Detectives in Trafford said they wanted to 'identify and locate' her to make sure she's safe 'as a priority'.

Police said they were first alerted by a member of the public, who said they saw the woman being assaulted on Maher Gardens, in Old Trafford, on Wednesday, April 19, at around 12.20am.

The report claimed three men were involved and it happened in a car park area off the street.

"The second offender is described as a black male, around 5ft 6ins tall with short hair and slim, wearing a dark red/brown shirt with a logo on the front and shorts."

Police said a third man is believed to have remained in the car before driving the suspects and victim away.

The woman is described as black, around 5ft 8ins tall, of medium build wearing a white cardigan and the car is reported to have been a white SUV, possibly a Mercedes GLA.
