Manchester United confirm date and time for rearranged Chelsea fixture

Manchester United will host Chelsea at Old Trafford on Thursday May 25, with kick-off at 8pm.

The pair were due to meet this weekend, but United's progression into the FA Cup semi-finals saw it postponed. Erik ten Hag's side face Brighton at Wembley on Sunday.

With a congested fixture schedule already leaving little room for manoeuvre, few midweeks were free for rearranged fixtures and the clash will now form a key part of United's run-in as the penultimate game of the season.

The original meeting was picked for broadcasting and the rearranged clash will be shown live on Sky Sports.

Defeat by Sevilla and elimination from the Europa League on Thursday also allowed two more fixtures to be confirmed, with a home clash against Wolves on Saturday May 13 and a trip to Bournemouth on Saturday May 20 both confirmed as 3pm kick-offs.

Ten Hag's side currently sit third in the league on 59 points, three clear of Newcastle and six clear of Tottenham.
