Police and fire crews close off road after blaze breaks out at empty house
Fire crews and police were called after a fire broke out in an empty house in Moston this morning.
Emergency services rushed to the scene of the blaze on Moston Lane at around 9am.
The M.E.N understands the fire was caused by an electrical fault on the top floor of the 'unoccupied' property.
Three fire engines were called to extinguish the blaze.

Moston Lane was closed off from Melbourne Street to Clough Road and Ashley Lane, causing bus services to be diverted for some time.
Pictures taken at the scene showed police cars stationed at each end of the road block.
Numerous nearby residents said they had not heard or seen anything in relation to the fire.
It is thought nobody was in the property when the fire broke out.
Electricity North West were also at the scene.
Moston Lane was reopened again at around 10.15am.
A spokesperson for GMFRS said: "At approximately 9am on Tuesday, February 22, three fire engines from Blackley, Hollins and Chadderton attended a building fire on Moston Lane, in Manchester.
"The fire involved the first floor of an unoccupied detached building.
"Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel to extinguish the fire.
"Fire crews were in attendance for around one hour and 30 minutes."
